The Ruger SP101 is a double-action small-frame revolver designed for
concealed carry or for us by smaller shooters. Ruger SP101 revolvers are available in .22 LR, .32 H&R Magnum, .38
Special, and .357 Magnum calibers. When Ruger introduced the SP101 double-action revolver a dozen years ago, it
was well received. First designed as a small-frame .38 Special, the SP101 was
considerably lighter and more compact than the .357 Mag. GP100. In addition to
.38 Special, .32 Mag., 9mm and (later) .357 Mag. Chamberings, the SP101 was
also offered in .22 rim-fire versions. I acquired one of the DA Ruger .22s soon
after they became available. While other pocket and back-up revolvers on your shelves may only be
designed for use in "life or death" situations, the Ruger SP101 is
made to be pleasant to shoot as well as practical to carry. This little
revolver is manufactured with state-of-the-art technology to take the
high-pressure loads available to today's shooters. When presented with the
choice of paying more for a revolver which will become unserviceable after
5,000 rounds or of buying an affordable gun that is engineered to endure a
lifetime of practical shooting, there's little doubt which your customers will
take. Ruger SP101
